The Hospital is our FRieNd

I really wish I had not become so acquainted with the hospital lately. Randy's Dad had his open heart surgery on Monday and everything went well he is now out of the ICU and in a much more comfortable room. The kids were able to see him last night and loved eating dinner in the cafeteria. Ok so hospital food really isn't that bad. However when we got home last night Andrews face looked really red and puffy so I gave him some benedryl and made sure his face cleared up before I put him to bed. He looked better so I put him in his bed. I was up all night with Jaci because she still had a fever that began Monday evening. Jaci still had a fever this morning so I thought I would make an appointment to take her in thinking maybe an ear infection or something. I am getting ready for day waiting to call the dr. and Andrew comes in to go potty I was helping him with his britches and take one look at his rear and back and well I called the Dr right then to get him and appointment too. It was the craziest looking "rash" I have ever seen. So now we are back from the Doc they both seem to have Viral infection neither one contagious thank goodness. We are still waiting to get a urine sample from Jaci so make sure it isn't a UTI. Andrew feels ok it's not itching like I thought it would it just looks NASTY! Doc said it might even look worse before it gets better. I told him I was taking him to the dr he says no take Jaci I told him again it was him I was taking too and he says No I fine! I guess he is it just doesn't look like it! So can I say we have a really nice Hospital here in Dixie!

Allred Family Reunion!

Caden, Andrew, Avrie, Ally, Kelsie and Jacob checking out the view from the bridge!
Aunt Georgia pulling a Britney Spears! Actually Jaci was so greatful that Aunt Georgia let her sit on her lap and have the air conditioning blow in her face it felt so good!
This was just a classic Ben look couldn't leave that out. Be careful Ben not to smile your face might crack!
At the reunion we also celebrated what would have been my Grandpa Allred's 100th birthday. We were just a few days late but the cake was sure delicious. Thanks Kim for being so thoughtful!
Jaci actually enjoyed camping and did really well. She slept better the 2nd night but she did way better than I was planning!
Andrew loved his flashlight even when it wasn't dark!
Randy on the other hand didn't sleep as well. Just in case you couldn't tell by the look on his face. The 1st night he slept in the car half the night. Still have a little trouble with that knee made it not quite as much as fun to be camping. He was a sport though and I had a lot of help from good brothers setting up our tent. Thanks Kaleb!
Andrew wasn't quite sure it was ok to actually hit something with the bat besides a ball.
Avrie actually knocked a couple of pieces out during her turn at bat. She was so excited!
Despite have been hit in the head herself earlier in the day she could still swing that bat!
Grandma was really glad that the kids got tootsie rolls! YUMMMY

Well it was that time of year again! Family reunion Time. We headed to Mormon Lake Arizona it is in the mountains by flagstaff. It was a great time. We left last Thursday and made a little stop at Navajo Bridge so the kids could walk across. Not much else to see there but it was a good potty stop. When we got to the camp site it was all of our family there and we figured that would be just fine but then of coarse Kim showed up so it made it even better. Lots of cousins and all of my dad's simblings were there. The kids had fun making new friends with their cousins and running in the woods. Of coarse I am not the fun mom in camp.... didn't want them building fires, didn't want them playing in the water fight and getting soaked and muddy, didn't want them going snip hunting.... I know I'm such a bore but I like my babies safe! (And clean, since I didn't bring extra clothes) Anyway it was a fun time. The kids enjoyed the pinata and Kelsie was enjoying the horeshoes until her cousin hit her in the head with one on accident. That left a pretty blue egg on her forehead. Saturday afternoon we headed home and had an unexpected call, well a lot of unexpected calls. By the time we got service we were a day late in finding out that Randy's dad had a massive heart attack and was in the ICU. We made it home as quick as we could and have spent the last few days with him in the hospital. He went in for surgery yesterday he had 6 bypasses done so he should feel like new once the recovery period is over. We are so glad he was ok and we made it back into town to be in the hospital with him. So it's been a pretty crazy weekend a good time with family and a good time to remember you just never know when it will be your time to go so cherish the time you have!

4th of July

we took a little drive up the canyon to cedar breaks. We were out of the car long enough to take a picture then run back to the car. It started to rain and it was just a wee bit chilly! It was so pretty though. This took a little coaxing to get Kelsie up there she is afraid of heights and she gets scared just driving up the canyon. Even when you aren't on a ledge in her mind she knows she's above everything else so it freaks her out.

I just love my mom and we always have a good time when we are together. Randy snapped this little photo and looking at it just makes me want to laugh some more.

We went to Cedar this year for the 4th of July to spend time with Mom. Friday night we had a bbq then Saturday we headed to the parade, up the canyon for a drive, a little game of cards, and a fireworks show. It was a great time!

My bright eyed Jaci. This picture almost doesn't even look like her, but it must because well... it is a picture of her.
AWWWW the cedar city parade.... Andrew really wasn't lovin the fire truck and it's sirens
This is what I felt like doing after the first 5 minutes of the parade. I was really disapointed. It was really a parade of fire trucks, baseball teams having water fights, business advertisement, and some really really disapointing dance groups. (to say the least.... my daughter would not be on the drill team if I knew they were going to be dressed like that and dance the way they did.) whatever happened to the real drill team where they actually dance and aren't dressed like hookers? (ooops did I just say that?)
At least there was candy. That was the best part!
What cute kiddos

After we got back from the canyon we stopped at mom's office and decided to snap a few pics while we were waiting. Jaci was quietly sleeping in the car but the other kids enjoyed the little outing a posing for a few pics. Kelsie was totally loving the tree. I think this is her traditional pose. She seems to do this every time I take her picture by a tree!

After it was all said and done I just have to say I am proud to be an American. I am so grateful to the Men and Women who defend our freedom. Whether or not our leaders are right or wrong and make good or bad decisions there are people risking their lives to keep us free.
