Kelsie's Baptism Pictures

So I decided I wanted to try to be a photographer. Kelsie will be turning 8 next month and getting baptized the 1st of November. We bought her dress when we were in Provo last weekend and so I thought I would get some pictures taken of her to make her announcement cards. Here are a few that I took.  I think they turned out pretty good for my 1st time and thanks to Iphoto for the effects. Let me know which one is your fav!

Stupid Cricket!!!!!ARRRGGG

Ok, as if I don't have a hard enough time sleeping as it is and I still have 4 months of pregnancy left. It doesn't help when I make a potty break in the night and hope to fall peacefully back to sleep, and then I hear it, the LOUD chirping of a cricket right outside my window. So for an hour and half I lay there even putting my finger in my ears to drown out the sound. I was ready to go outside and hunt it down at 4 in the morning. GEE I am glad the little cricket could show up just to tell me
" I am here because it is finally getting a little cooler here in St. George" but really do you think I care. That is why I have a thermometer outside my kitchen window thank you very much little cricket. You can find a new place to chirp in the middle of night because trust me YOU DON'T WANT ME TO FIND YOU!!!!

Fun Weekend

Labor day weekend was a fun one for us. Friday after school and work we headed to Provo. We stayed at a hotel and the kids were able to swim and have a great time. They were so excited all week about getting to swim. We took them to Kirspy Kreme's when the HOT light was one so they were able to experience HEAVEN! A fresh hot doughnut what is better than that!! They liked watching the machine fry them and glaze them. On Saturday Randy and I went to the BYU football game and my friend Missy and her hubby were able to join us. It was fun getting to see her again it's been a while. Our husbands were glued to the game and I think we chatted more than watched but it was great, especially since BYU won. We came home Sunday and it was nice there was no school on Monday so we could have a day to recoup.

My Avrie

Sorry I seem to do all my blog posts on the same day I can't seem to find time through out the week to do it.
I just wanted to write a little note to my sweet little Avrie. Being a middle child I know she feels left out a lot and she shows her frustration quit a bit.
I just want her to know how special she really is to me and how much I appreciate her willing and helpful attitude at home. She is such a great big sister to Andrew and an even better little sister to Kelsie. Yesterday on the way to school they were almost in a car accident and someone almost hit the car they were riding in. It really shook her up and she was worried about dying. She told me "mom I know when you would come to the school to get me you would say where's my Avrie" "I don't want to die I love my family" It was just the sweetest most innocent thing.
So Avrie I want you to know You are my Avrie and I love you sooo much and thank you soo much for being such a sweet little girl, a great helper, a wonderful sister, a good friend, and most of all for being my daughter. I love you!

Aren't We SMART!

Andrew doesn't talk much but he is learning to count. I just think his little voice is so cute when he counts so I had to show it off. He isn't even 3 yet and he is counting to 10! What a cute Boy!

My LITTLE Fish

Andrew has had swimming lessons the last two weeks for his very first time. He has actually done pretty well and will finish tomorrow. I think the cold water was a shock for him last week and he got a little sick so he missed some days this week but was back at it this morning.He loves thewa wa so I was glad he got to learn a little bit before he has a bad experience and doesn't want to get in the water. He hasn't quit learned how to move arms and legs together but he is at least starting to move in the water a little bit and he can hold his breath. He obviously likes to drink a little too!

The Joys of Being the LITTLE Brother ;)

Last night Andrew was ready to get in his "jammies" and he brings me his spider man top to put on him I asked him to go and get the pants and he comes back dressed in this precious pink princess outfit. The girls were so excited at how cute he looked the sad thing was, Andrew was just as excited. Randy just shook his head and put his hand over his eyes. I told him he should probably get used to it. Makeup and the curling iron will come soon enough. Even I remember using Clay as my practice too! What big sister doesn't do that to their little brother? Too bad he has TWO older sisters. At least they love the heck out of that little boy they would do anything for him, apparently there is a price to pay though too ;) I guess the girls also wanted to match because they both had on night gowns with a pink princess shirt over the top! TOO FUNNY

Having a rough day!

Avrie made this little note and put it on her door the other day and I took a picture of it I thought it was so cute. I am just barely figuring out how to get pictures off my camera without the cd so I am just posting it. It kind of caught me by surprise because usually it is Kelsie she is fighting with but this time it apparently was Andrew. Maybe it was me too! Anyway I just loved her spelling. She has been working so hard trying to write by herself and spell things the way they sound. Pretty good job I could tell what she wrote.

First Day Of School

Yesterday was the first day of school for the girls this year. I am sad that summer is over and I have to go back to an official routine with the trek across town but the peace and quiet with just me and Andrew at home will be nice. Now I can undo all the naughty things the girls have taught him over the summer (That would include throwing tissy fits) he was such a sweet boy before. As most of you already know the girls go to a dual immersion school. It is a public school here in Washington County they are experimenting with. This is the 3rd year and things seem to be going great with the program. By the time they are finished with 5th grade they will be Bi-literate, they will speak, read and write Spanish. They have 2 teachers one for English and one for Spanish. So they get their lessons for the day in English or Spanish depending on which class they are in. Kelsie has picked up on things really quick and is doing really well even with her reading. This year her teacher will do a lot of writing so I am looking forward to seeing her grow with that. Avrie did well getting the hang of things again after the break too. The only thing I don' t like is that the school is on the other side of town so it is about 15-20 minute drive to school. I have a great friend I car pool with so it makes it much easier it would just be nice if it was the school around the corner. Oh well. Happy days since school is back in session and I'll look forward to the next break too. Andrew had is own backpack this year too already to go to school. He wasn't quite sure what to do with just mom at home now that his friends are back in school.

The Results are IN!

So anyone wondering what baby #4 is going to be? Well we had our ultrasound yesterday and seems to me ( and the ultrasound tech) we are having a GIRL!. I am very excited over this news. so many cute clothes and bows! Her name will be Jaciele. Randy knew a little girl on his mission with that name that was adorable. I think I will call her Ellie.

We got some good laughs of these and just had to share! Sorry if you find it offensive I guess it is a little rude but I like a laugh every now and then. If you don't like it let me know and I'll remove it.
I don't think socks up to the knees is the best idea for beach wear and speedos just don't do it for me. Anyone like our jungle boy! he just jumped out of the bushes while we were on our hike, stood in the water for about 2 minutes then ran back into the bushes. VERY INTERESTING

MAUI Wonderful MAUI

Maui was so wonderful I wish we would have stayed there the whole time. A slower pace, more beautiful, and just more FUN! I will keep this post a little shorter than the Oahu one. All I have to say is that between The Rental Car ( a convertable), The Maui Ocean Center (very useful for knowing what to look for when we snorkeled) The Luau ,(It was same old Luau just voted the best one on Island)The great Resort where we stayed with wonderful breakfast at the Gazebo Restaurant (brought some of the coconut syrup home YUM), Beautiful Beaches and rainbows, and of coarse the hike to waterfalls (we got eaten alive by mosquito's but still very cool) I'm ready to go back already!

Finally Hawaii

Ok, so I have finally decided to quit procrastinating and get this post done. Our trip to Hawaii was great! I wish we would have had more time on Maui but at least now I know I want to definitely go back there. We arrived on Oahu on a Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed drinks and snacks in the LIMO, checked into the hotel, went down to the beach and then caught a Hula show in the shopping square by our hotel. Monday we set off early because they are 4 hours behind us and I was starving at 4 in the morning. I held off until 6 and we made our way to Denny's then down to the beach for the sunrise. After that we headed off shopping, got our picture taken by the worlds largest hawaiian shirt, ate at bubba gump shrimp (Randy loved it), went to the bodies exhibit (very interesting and cool would definitely do that again),went back to the hotel for a little break then just strolled through the shops. Tuesday we rented a car and drove around the Island. We headed to the temple and were able to do a session there it was really neat. Then we headed to the hukelou (I have no clue how to spell that) for lunch (it was recommended by the locals) it was very good for being a little dive(and really cheap for the ammount of food you got). Then we continued around the island. We stopped at a few beaches for pictures,and found a macadamia nut farm that had really good cinnamon flavored ones.We brought some of those home. I wish they had better road signs but we figured it wouldn't matter if we got lost because it was an island we would eventually find our way back and we did. On our 2nd time around the island we stopped at the Dole Plantation. They were closed when we went by the in the morning. We had enough of the day left we decided to drive around to that side of the Island again. Then we headed home for the night. Wed. we headed to Pearl Harbor early in the morning because the lines get big fast. We were able to get on the second tour for the morning so it wasn't too bad. We went out to the Arizona (Always a neat experience, makes you appreciate our freedom) and then we decided to go to the new (new for us because it wasn't there last time we went) Pacific Aviation Museum. Randy loved that especially the flight simulator he rode. It was pretty neat it is in an old Hanger on Ford Island and they have life sized planes that were used and also talked more about the attack on Pearl Harbor. After that we headed to the Flee market, same stuff over and over so that got old quick and then we decided to return the car instead of waiting until our flight in the morning. We decided to take the public bus back to the hotel just to try it out. Won't do that again. It was fine at first, then the stinky bums got on and we had to move because I thought I was going to throw up. We got back to the hotel and were starving but still took time to shower and change after the bus. We enjoyed Ruths Christ steakhouse that night so YUM. Of coarse I'm all about food on vacation and I wasn't even sick on this trip from being pregnant so it made it really enjoyable.
